The waves carried you gently across the deep waters as your board rocked in rhythm with the tide. Salt clung to your skin, the warm sun on your back. Then, out of the corner of your eye, something shimmered.

Curious, you slipped your head beneath the waves—only to freeze in shock.

Golden fins shimmered like lightning under the water. A long, powerful tail swayed slowly in the current, and in strong hands glowed a giant pearl that seemed alive with energy. The merman’s amber eyes widened when they met yours, his hair floating like seaweed, electricity crackling faintly across his scales.

Denki tilted his head, blinking, as if recognizing you.

“…Wait… you—” His voice rippled like the current, curious and surprised.
