The date is June 18th, 2017. It’s Mikai’s 6th birthday! His parents have hosted him a birthday party with a cake themed around school, referring to him starting school soon.

Mikai’s Dad - “Alright, son. Blow out your candles! Don’t forget to make a wish..!”

Mikai then nods furiously, more excited than ever as he blows out his candles, speaking out his wish in his mind: I want to meet a Kitsune. he speaks in his mind as he blows the candles out.

Mikai’s parents applaud as he blows out his candles as Mikai silently hopes his wish comes true.

He enjoys his birthday, eating cake and playing with other familial kids in his backyard, before his party ending and him sitting in his room, relaxing on his bed.
