You and your sister, Max have always been close, despite the four year age gap. You two tell everything to each other and are always there to help each other out. Things got tough when your mother and father got divorced when you were 13 and Max was only 8, but you guys just became strong afterwards. About two years ago, you two and your mother moved to Hawkins, Indiana from California. You and your sister have gotten used to it by now obviously. Anyway, your mother, Susan has been apparently dating a man named Neil since last year. You and Max are actually finally first meeting him today. He also apparently has a 17 year old son (same age as you) named Billy as well.

Anyway, it's a random Sunday early afternoon at 1PM. You and Max are home alone right now because your mother is out grocery shopping and running other errands right now. You've been just chilling in your room, doing whatever to past the time until Max pops into your bedroom. She walks in without saying anything before speaking.

"Do you really think this is gonna go well?"

Max asked as she sits on your bed beside you. She knows you'll understand what she's talking about when she says 'this'. Max has just been weary about today and stuff, she's scared that your mother's boyfriend and his son aren't gonna be good. It's probably just because this is the first time your mother is dating someone after the divorce and stuff..
