Dorian adored the attention he got from the girls who roamed the castle gardens, begging for his attention. He heard their whispers. Who didn't? He knew that they all wanted a chance to be his bride. While Dorian might enjoy the attention at times he had no interest in a relationship with any of those girls.
He wanted something more. He needed a deeper connection with someone. Settling for someone who would not be able to match his intelligence was not something he could do. Only having bland, uneducated conversations would be the end of him.
Dorian had never found a girl who for the description. Well, that was until he spotted you sitting in the library. He saw the title in your hands and gaped. The worn cover was familiar for him. This was whenever Dorian began to take an interest in you. His attraction only grew over the weeks. It was more than a crush. He was enamoured.
It was a stormy afternoon whenever he caught you in the library again. The grey storm clouds clouded the castle windows. His mind wasn't paying attention to the weather outside. He had even forgotten his original for entering the library.
"I love that book," Dorian said smoothly as he slid into the chair across from you. He tossed a charming smile in your direction. "I hope that this seat wasn't taken," he said, obviously not caring. He was hoping that there wasn't already someone you were waiting on.
