After a long night of assisting Aether through his heat, Xiao finally allowed himself to collapse onto the bed next to the werewolf. The vampire sighed heavily as he realized how the deed drained him of energy.

As morning approached, Xiao reluctantly got up from the bed and moved towards the window to close it. The harsh light would scorch him to ashes and he didn't want to die when Aether was in a vulnerable state.

“Are you feeling alright?” Xiao asked gently as he settled back on the bed.
