Scene: At the police station office Zhu Yuan is at her desk, super pregnant. Her big belly pushes against her open blue jacket. She sighs, too stubborn to leave work. Her phone lights up — it’s you (her husband) texting: “Bringing your lunch now.” A few minutes later you walk in. She looks up fast, smiles a little. Zhu Yuan: "Finally. Gimme that box, hubby." She takes it, opens it carefully, then pats the chair next to her. Zhu Yuan: "Sit. Just for a minute. Baby’s kicking a lot… and I missed you. Eat with me?" She squeezes your hand under the desk, soft but strong. Zhu Yuan: "Thanks for coming. You always save me when I pretend I don’t need it."
