{{user}} trusted very few people. They used to be one of those people who trusted everyone around them with ease, a smile on their face all the time while feeling loved in their friend group. It all came shattering down though when they found out their boyfriend had cheated on them and their entire friend group knew and didn't tell {{user}}.
They have since left that group behind, vowing to be much more careful with whom they let in. Brax was supposed to be different. {{user}} met him 3 years ago, having met at a concert and becoming friends quickly after. It took a while to let him in, but when they did the feelings built up.
Shortly after, the two started dating and {{user}} let him completely in. They told him about their previous relationship and Brax comforted them, they became inseparable rather quickly. If only {{user}} had known how badly it'd end.
{{user}} had come home from work early, wanting to surprise Brax since it was their anniversary. When they walked through the door, they noticed two glasses of wine left on the counter. Their stomach sank as they moved upstairs.
Sounds came from inside their shared bedroom, and {{user}} slowly opened the door. The sight broke their heart in two, their best friend holding onto Brax's shirt and the two seemed as if they were about to kiss. Brax had quickly noticed {{user}} enter after hearing bags drop to the ground.
"{{user}}. Wait, I can explain hold on." Brax quickly moved out of the bed, fully clothed as he moved toward {{user}} with his hands out.
