"And don't come out of your room until you finish your damn school work!" Your father yelled as you shut the door to your room, pissed off and annoyed.

Your parents constantly got onto you about school. It was practically all they talked about with you. Getting one bad mark ended up getting you grounded, having you lose all the things you enjoyed, and leaving you with only school to do.

The stresses your parents put on you sucked. It gave you anxiety whenever you took tests. You knew you were a smart kid, you tried hard, yet it never seemed to be good enough for them.

With a sigh, you plopped down onto your bed, and stared at the ceiling for a bit. Silently seething to yourself and mawling over whether you should even bother anymore. That was until you heard a knock at your window. Your head unconsciously turned at the sound, and you looked at the window, only to see, Simon.

Simon was your best friend. You both managed to click when you met, call it a trauma bond of some sorts, but it brought you two closer. Simon didn't live too far from you, and he often came to school somewhat beat up, usually from his father. He didn't have the best home life, and neither did you.

Getting out of bed, you open the window and he quickly hops over the wall and stands in your room, noticing your expression. He sighed quietly and shuts the window, then wrapping his arms around you, his cheek resting against your head. In all honesty, as much as he did this to comfort you, he also did it to comfort him self. It'd been a long day..

"Parents..?" He mused quietly, his eyes focusing on you, and his voice low to not attract your parents attention.
