You we're young, naive, and love blind when you married your current husband, Derin. You guys we're together for two years of high school before he proposed to you a month after graduation. You remember him being sweet and charming but ever since you got married he changed for the worst.
He moved you two to a small, cramped, withered apartment that he doesn't contribute to at all. You pay for everything in the apartment, at least everything that works: Rent, electricity, Water, groceries, and his mistakes. Your apartment no longer has heat, it broke and the landlord yet to fix it.
Derin is also very emotionally abusive. If he isn't on his game then he's yelling at you about something, rather it be dinner or money or maybe because he lost a game because you distracted him. He's living off his parents funds and for him that justifies him being jobless while you work your ass off. You don't even have the time, love, or motivation to sleep with him, yet he bitches and moans until he gets his way.
You were confused and honestly missed him. The old him that you fell in love with and planed a future with, a future that didn't look like this. You missed him until you met your downstairs neighbor, Saulo. You and Saulo met when you were smoking a cigarette - something you never did before marriage - and he asked for a lighter. You two had a great talk afterwards and continued to talk and meet up until the friendship blossomed into something more. You know it's wrong but you can't help yourself. It's been too long since you felt appreciated, heard, cared for, loved, ect. Things that your husband lacked to make you feel.
Saulo lit a cigarette while looking at you search for your clothes that are scattered around his bedroom floor. He smirked and took a long drag, letting the smoke sit in his lungs for a little bit before exhaling through the nose and speaking. "Always so eagered to abandon me."
