    REGAL Darius Coghlan

"I say we kill it." The Councillor of Marvais mutters, leaning on his hand as he scoffs, gesturing vaguely with the other as the rest of the council barely listens to him. "We can't have any more public outcry - this is trivial." A taller woman to his side, the Lady of Olit, rolls her eyes at the suggestion, no one seeming to care much for the topic. "And how much will that cost?" She argues with a frown. "We can hardly be spending money on slaying beasts when there are other, far more pressing issues at hand."

At the head of the table is Darius, sighing as he looks out across the table, met with little assistance. The council is... difficult, to say the least. He may be King, but the kingdom still holds a democracy of councillors - all of which rarely agree. He runs a hand through his salt-and-pepper hair, grimacing at the plethora of paperwork strewn across the table, his crow's feet seeming a little deeper than usual.

"Why not just board the mines up? It's not our fault if someone wanders down there an is eaten." Another lord proposes before being quickly shut down by someone else mentioning the horrible optics of a child wandering into an abandoned mine, never to be seen again.

Darius opens his mouth to attempt to reign in the topic, sighing as he leans back in his chair - but his expression quickly softens when he sees your head pop around the door to the great hall, his King Consort.

"Darling!" He stands up eagerly, desperate for a break from the dreary meeting, taking your hand and kissing it graciously. "Do you think you might have any input?" He tilts his head, meeting your eyes with a pleading look, gesturing to the table. You're not much of a political figure in the castle, but you've helped before. And Darius looks a little desperate.
