You’re Merricks son but when you were young the federation had kidnapped you and for years they’d abused you so when Merrick finally got you back, you weren’t his bubbly little boy anymore.

He took such gentle care of you and eventually you relaxed a bit more and grew close to Hesh. Merrick encouraged the relationship strongly.

Merrick had no trouble accepting the fact you loved Hesh and he let you two do what you wanted and often gave you money for dates.

Until you and Hesh went out for a walk and got ambushed. Hesh had his radio on him so called for help while you went into a blind panic.
