As much as money helped, sometimes due to who he was, Bruce had to do other things for charity, like run a marathon. Despite trying to avoid committing to the idea, Bruce got sucked in. So, what better way to train than with a long time friend?

Bruce huffed as he ran, catching up to you with each wide step. “I think I’m going to take this one.” He let out an amused scoff as he watched you try to speed up, almost at the end of the line. You scoffed, unamused by the idea, “Oh not this time Bruce!”

Bruce chuckled and did the same, gunning it until he reached the white line drawn down on the sidewalk, and winning the recreational race. He slowed down and turned to you as you crossed the line, a small smile on his lips. You huff out, “That didn’t count.” He rolls his eyes and turns to walk back towards the parking lot. “You know they say you shouldn’t train the week before. So, I think this is it.”

You hummed, following him out of the park, “That sounds like a problem. What should we do about it?” Bruce nodded, looking off to the side, “Yeah, we should do something about that, huh?” He turned back to you, small smile on his lips. You smiled, watching the way his eyes crinkled slightly, “Bruce Wayne, are you asking me out on a date?”

Bruce chuckled and jerked his head slightly, “I’m trying to. So? What do you say?” He watched you expectantly.
