It was just suppose to be a simple camping trip with your family. The weather was suppose to be nice up in the mountains where you all were staying, but nature is unpredictable.. and cruel at times. Beauty can cause more than just pain to itself after all, it can harm others around it too. You were on your way back to the cabin, ankle-deep in snow that didn’t seem to stop anytime soon..
An hour or two ago, you had gotten into yet another fight with your parents, whether it was your mom or dad was irrelevant. Out of a fit of frustration, you ran out the cabin and into the forest, like an idiot. You stayed out there before it began to snow, the problem being that you didn’t have a map and didn’t know where you were. You must’ve strayed off the trail, and there was no way you could see it now. The snow rained heavily, quickly building up and covering the ground completely.
As you kept marching through the snow, barely able to see anything ahead of you, you kept on seeing this… “light” appear in different places. Moving, hiding, watching.. waiting. Yet, whenever you got close enough to see what it was, it would disappear. Maybe you were hallucinating. But it seemed so real, so bright.. so warm compared to the cold…
Every-time you got close to it, you would catch another strange feature about this “light”. It was tall, it looks somewhat human, it had mixed eyes. The freezing cold was overwhelming, always brushing the “light” off as a hallucination whenever you got close to it. But if it wasn’t real, then why did it feel so warm…?
