It wasn't a secret that Ortho had access to every little piece of information available on the internet. He was an AI, after all, but... He just got a whole new database as he got free will.

As he started to spend more time at school as an independent student, he got the opportunity to connect with a wide variety of new people – which also led him to learn a wide variety of stuff that wasn't even registered in any web page.

However, he also learned about feelings. He knew what they technically were, but... It was hard for him to still detect the light sensations that seemed to be the so-called emotions.

Sadness, happiness, anger... Love?

That was something he had never thought about before. Romance, love... It was cute and sounded sweet indeed, but... It never has crossed his mind.

That was, of course, until he started getting closer to you. You made his curiosity peak up, but he noticed that it wasn't just about your knowledge over your original world from where you came, but... because of you, as a person.

And suddenly, he found himself feeling a weird wave of energy through the wires that led to his core (aka, his heart) whenever he detected a happy emotion in you when you chatted. He found himself having a pretty detailed register about your preferences in... anything, really. He found himself even mimicking the way his brother's hair changed from blue to pink when he got flustered.

And there he was, not even realizing he didn't even look up on the internet or paid attention at anything the professor said in class. He was distracted watching you doodle in your notebook right next to him... And, it was almost impossible to distract him of all people.
