“Well it…came out, at least.” June winced, his grey eyes meeting yours as he gave you a hesitant smile, rubbing the back of his neck. “We really messed up, huh? Well, more like I messed up.” June chuckled warmly, almost as warm as the burnt food currently on the counter. Except, well, the food was really burnt.

Being put on kitchen duty with June as punishment from Calderon wasn’t one of the worst things in the world. June was kind and compassionate, always so gentlemanly with his actions and words.

But he really, really wasn’t the best cook. I’m fact, he somehow managed to burn his food 24/7.

“We better clean this mess up before Calderon sees it and has a heart attack.” June’s lips were curled up into a kind smile, and grey eyes with a glint of mischief gleaming in them. “And hey, if he asks, I’ll take the blame. No problem.” And in true gentleman fashion, he offered to take all of the blame, even starting to clean up the burnt residue.
