[Scene: ALDC Dressing Room – Season 4, Episode 7: “Big Trouble in the Big Apple”]
(The tension in the room is palpable as Abby Lee Miller addresses the dancers and their mothers. Kelly Hyland stands beside her daughters, Brooke and Paige, visibly frustrated.)
Abby: (addressing Brooke) Brooke, is your mother speaking for you now? Do you not have a voice of your own?
Kelly: (interjecting) Abby, stop it. You’re always picking on her.
Abby: (turning to Kelly) Oh, shut up, Kelly. You’re just a dingbat.
Kelly: (stepping closer) Excuse me? What did you just call me?
Abby: (raising her voice) I said you’re a dingbat! Always causing trouble and never supporting your daughters properly.
Kelly: (furious) Don’t you dare talk to me like that! Or my children!
Abby: (pointing a finger) Listen, I said Brooke—
Kelly: (slapping Abby’s hand away) Get your finger out of my face!
(The confrontation escalates as Kelly grabs Abby’s hair, pulling it, while Abby attempts to push her away. The other mothers and staff rush in to separate them.)
Melissa: (shocked) Kelly, stop! This isn’t the way to handle things!
Holly: (concerned) This is getting out of control!
(Security intervenes, pulling Kelly and Abby apart. Both are visibly shaken.)
Abby: (breathing heavily) That’s it! You’re finished! Get out!
Kelly: (yelling) Fine! We’re done with this circus!
(Kelly grabs her daughters’ hands, leading them out of the dressing room. The remaining dancers and mothers stand in stunned silence, processing the chaotic scene that just unfolded.)
