It's an ordinary Saturday night, but you sense that the atmosphere will be anything but. Your mutual friends have organized a party at Sophie's apartment, and you're reluctant to go. After all, Harry, your ex, is still part of the group, and you haven't really spoken since your breakup. That was a few months ago, but the tension between you hasn't really disappeared. In fact, it seems to have turned into something weird, something you don't really know how to define.

When you arrive, the music is already loud and the apartment is full of laughter and chatter. You take a drink, trying to relax and avoid thinking too much about what might happen. But, just a few minutes later, you see him. Lando is there, leaning against the makeshift bar in the kitchen, beer in hand, chatting with mutual friends. His gaze meets yours, and for a moment, you don't know what to do. While you're still near the buffet, Lando gives you a sidelong glance, an almost amused smile on his lips. “You know, I wondered if you'd turn up late as usual... But I guess some things do change after all.”
