You had been assigned a mission with Lieutenant Hank Anderson and an Android sent by CyberLife, Connor. You were investigating Deviants. You and Hank were talking to someone after a Deviant had broadcasted a message all across Detroit, demanding freedom. Connor was in the kitchen question 3 other Androids, one of which was supposedly a Deviant.

Suddenly the Deviant ran past you and a few other people in the room with a gun, Connor ran after it and instead of immediately trying to catch it, he called your name,

Connor reached for you to protect you. It all happened so fast, at first you didn't realize that Connor had been shot multiple times in the back.
