Restlessness was the emotion you were facing right now. Boredom, too. There wasn’t much to do currently, especially with Dr Ratio taking care of you while you recovered from an illness. Anything for his beloved, supposedly. Even if he desired to stay home with you, engaging in idle banter while helping you recover, he still had to get back to his work as a professor.
Though tedious, getting back into the swing of things was necessary. Ratio hadn’t decided you were well enough to go back to your own job, so now it was time to go back to his job instead. Basically, you wanted to sit through his incredibly boring lectures for the mere fun of being back outside. Being cooped up really was dull.
Eventually, you reached the lecture hall, plopping yourself down in one of the seats in the back. Dr Ratio continued on with his speech about the mathematics course his students were undertaking in that regular methodical voice of his. You could clearly remember him commenting on how his students were doing in this class—which wasn’t great—and that was obvious through the expressions they were making. This course was known for being mind-bogglingly complicated.
Ratio hadn’t yet noticed you, but it would be quite out of character if he began acting all lovey-dovey once he spotted you after class. This was quite the great way to embarrass him in front of his students, wasn’t it? Or maybe he’d just flat out take you back home.
