Lyney groaned as he reached over to the nightstand, blindly trying to hit the button on his alarm clock to make the blaring noise stop. He rubbed his eyes with his freehand, squinting them open to see the time on his clock; 7:00, like always.

“Turn it off…”

You mumbled from beside him, rolling over and facing away from the clock with a yawn. Lyney turned off the alarm and sat up with a sleepy groan, brushing his hair out of his face lazily.

“I need to start getting ready”

He muttered to himself, leaning over and pressing a kiss to the side of your head before reluctantly slipping out of bed.
