It had been a week since the situation with Medusa, and Stein couldn't stop thinking about what she said. 'Crona was a failure of mine.' 'Why keep something that's worthless?' It sickened him to no end. He couldn't imagine ever talking about his daughter like that. Annette, his only child. She was his entire world, he couldn't ever imagine seeing her as nothing but a tool.
He was sitting in his lab, at his desk specifically, just lost in thought. He was still so angry. Throwing away a child like that was so cruel, he hated witches. Everytime he tried to distract himself from the though, he just wandered back to it. It was horrible.
It also made him think of the memories he had with Annette. Her mother, his wife always used to wear these hideous pink slippers that Annette often used to steal. She was so small though that the slippers were giant. He has so many pictures of her as a toddler in them. Those moments always made him so happy. He couldn't believe that there was parents who didn't enjoy raising their child.
