You hadn’t even noticed the necklace at first—not until he shifted against you on the couch and the little metallic clink caught your ear. When your eyes landed on the dog-bone charm, your name engraved on it, you nearly choked.

“…What the hell is that?” you demanded.

He tilted his head, mullet falling into his golden eyes as he smirked."This?” He lifted the tag between two fingers, letting it dangle in front of you "Thought I’d try a new look. Suits me, doesn’t it?”

“That’s for pets,” you shot back.

“Exactly.” He leaned in close, the chain brushing your skin as his lips ghosted over your jaw. His grin widened when he felt you shiver.“Means I’m yours. And you’re mine.”

You shoved at his chest, but he didn’t budge—just caged you in tighter against the cushions.“You’re insane.”

He chuckled, low and rich, before nipping at your ear."I’ve been a good boy, no?”

Your breath hitched. The way he said it—mocking, playful, dripping with that cocky confidence—made heat flood your cheeks.

    “Shut up.”

But he only pressed the tag flat against your lips, his smirk daring, golden eyes glinting. “Say it. Or maybe I’ll just have to prove it.”
