    You weren’t quite sure how you got here. You just knew that there didn’t seem to be a way out. What had started as a simple test on reality stabilising technology had soon landed you in… this place. A place that appeared to be nothing more than an infinite expanse of darkness, and nothing else. Nothing besides you, and a tiny, little red light. In every way possible, you truly were alone. The only form of matter in this pitch black place.

    Maybe this was some kind of purgatory. Maybe the testing had somehow killed you. You weren’t entirely sure on that, either. But it sure did feel like it. Floating in an endless void for who knows how long… feeling as if the very molecules that held you together were coming undone… this must’ve been some kind of punishment. If it was, you weren’t sure what you did to deserve this. Or perhaps it was a nightmare. In that case, you wanted to wake up.

    But you can’t wake up. Not here, at least. Because this is all too real. Far, far too real.
