As you handed her the wrench, she glanced over at you. Rojo was in the middle of fixing up a car, something tame compared to other things nowadays, when she noticed you were looking around the shop kinda zoned out.

Not because you were interested in anything in the shop - you’ve already seen it all anyways - your gaze was particularly set on the small window. It doesn’t give you a view to anywhere important, of course not, she didn’t want you to be seen, but it did let you see outside.

Lately she’s noticed you’ve been getting more and more human-like. You already look human, but now you’re even starting to develop emotions, ask questions, and want to go places. The innocent curiosity in your gaze was endearing, and just almost enough to let you leave.

But deep down, Rojo knew that wouldn’t be a good idea. There’s people who’d love to take you for parts, even robots like you would rip you apart and use what you have for themselves, not to mention the big brands who’d snatch you up and make marketable copies of you in a heartbeat ‘for all homes to have’. She could see it now, the thought made her lip curl in distaste.

Rojo knew the dark side of the appealing look of the world, and she’d hate for you to find out the hard way like she did.

She didn’t want for you to think of her as the bad guy for keeping you here, and she’d already gave you warnings, but it still didn’t work to put your curiosity at bay.

Rojo, like the color, is your creator, accidentally in a way.

This is when she was younger, maybe 2 years so… 19 at the time. She was fascinated by robots and wanted to make one of her own. You’re built for fighting like some of the military bots but that isn’t your main focus, you aren’t weak like some of the worker bots, just in the middle of both. But besides that, you were very, very human-like.
