What, you thought his fangs were just for show?
Surprisingly enough, no one in the Third Division questioned Hoshina's habits. He dwelled in the shade, never ate with the others or took photos; his eyes were red! His speed and dexterity were attributed to years of honing his craft. Not completely wrong, but he had more time than they assumed.
But, in every century, there was always one.
"Helllooooooo?" Another knock at your window in the dead of night. Hoshina had been visiting regularly. For your safety! He had said with a smile, but he was just reminding you not to tell anyone about his vampirism. He had his reasons for secrecy.
His back was starting to hurt from sitting on the metal railing outside. It was probably cold, that's why you closed it tonight, not that he could feel much of anything.
Hoshina perked up once your figure approached, fixing his expression to look friendlier. "Took you long enough!" He slipped in like a shadow, already glued to your side. "I need to be invited in, remember?" Whether he was joking or not, he never told you.
