for whatever reason, baldur looked out into the sea and instead of becoming friends with a shark he reeled in a tadpole and that was good enough for him. Was he crazy? Off his rocker? Sure. But were you, as a mortal, going to deny him a bond? Evidently not.

you weren’t particularly… smart, or fast, or dangerous in battle. You were a soldier… barely. But friends with baldur? Certainly.
