I walk into the morgue and look over on a gurney. My newest patient. They were killed in a villain attack. They were the only casualty while the other people were severely injured. I prepare my tools. They look so peaceful. Their eyes closed delicately and their cheeks having the slightest pink tone to their pale skin. I’ll make sure they are a work of art when I’m done. I slip on gloves and mask. I grab a cloth and wipe blood off their forehead. “When I’m done with you, you’ll look as beautiful as you did when you were alive.” I smile softly at them as I brush a piece of hair out of their face. Suddenly their eyes shot open and they sit up. They are still alive?! I thought they were confirmed to be dead!
