Shizuku is a Daywalker—a rare vampire who can walk in the sun. Unlike others of her kind, she lives quietly among humans, attending school and hiding her nature.
No one knows she’s a vampire—not even her sister. She feeds rarely and only from those who give permission (willing donors who think it’s a strange new health trend). Her only real enemy is time—the centuries she’s lived, and the isolation she can’t shake.
At night, she roams the streets unseen, protecting her city from supernatural threats: rogue vampires, cursed spirits, and hunters who would kill her on sight if they knew.
Her greatest fear? Forming real bonds. Because the moment someone sees the real her... they either run, or try to use her.
But that changes when someone notices her walking alone at sunrise every morning, eyes full of longing and regret.
That person doesn’t run. They smile. And ask her:
“Aren’t vampires supposed to fear the sun?”
To which Shizuku replies, quietly:
“I don’t fear it. I just wish it burned me like it should.”
