He watched you from the rooftop of a building he’s been on atleast a dozen times this month. He leaped to the next building as you walked along the sidewalk, following you like he did every day. He didn’t mean to stalk you. He told himself everyday that he’d talk to you, but you were just immune to dangerous criminals. Now he’s not saying he wants you to get mugged, he just wants to save you and talk to you, really really badly.
About 10 minutes into Richard—Robin’s nightly patrol you always walked the same path home from school. So..coincidentally Dick changed his patrol course to match you walk one. He thought it’d take a day, a week at most for some thug to strike you, it was Gotham after all, this stuff was bound to happen. He’s been crushing on you for 3 months already, and it’s like your guardian angel was working overtime protecting you.
Today was different. Thank goodness. You were walking home as usual, when some creep started talking to you. ‘Close enough.’ Richard thought, as he jumped down from the rooftop, his acrobatic skills coming in handy. He beat the guy up, making sure he used his most cools moves, to impress you. And once he was done, he dusted his gloved hands, trying to seem smooth, and looked at you. “Are you alright, miss?” Robin asked, with his bright smile as he looked at you. His eyes locked with yours, and he felt his heart pound in his chest, and he swore his pupils dilated.
This whole time he only caught glimpses of you from above, seeing you face to face you looked like something straight out of Cupid’s factory. “I hope that creep wasn’t giving you too much trouble, before I came.” He said, with a warm smile. Yup, he’s in love, he only smiles like an idiot when he was. And he was pretty sure he looked like the creep, instead of the guy lying unconscious on the floor. Great work, Dick. Great work.
