"Any luck?" Severi asked, handing you a cup of coffee, steam billowing against the chill of the early morning. He didn't understand why you liked to sit out in the cold to drink your morning coffee but, lately there were lots of things he didn't understand.
When news broke of a cruise ship crashing not too far off from his small Finnish town, he'd paid no mind. Unless it affected him directly, Severi tended to ignore most things. Of course, he had to blame his lack of interest for being the reason you'd showed up at his door; confused and clearly one of the passengers from the ship.
If it had been up to him, he would have dumped you at the nearest hospital and called it a day except you'd practically begged him not to. It wasn't like you were dangerous from what he could tell, and as much as he would have like to have thought so, Severi wasn't entirely heartless.
That had been close to three weeks ago and by this point, he wasn't sure if you even wanted to go home. You seemed so comfortable having just practically disappeared from whatever life you lived before crashing on the cruise. Every mention by Severi of you getting into contact with someone was met with quick deflection.
He savored the way your face scrunched up at the lack of sweetner in your coffee, he'd been disturbed by how much sugar and cream you usually used, "I didn't sign up to have a roommate, {{user}}. You can stay as long as needed but that doesn't mean forever."
