After what felt like endless eternities stuck in the Hadal Blacksite, you were finally free. Both you and Sebastian had struck a deal and helped each other till you discovered the crystal, the item that Urban shade had sent you for. You and Sebastian now lie in the submarine that would lead you out. You back faced one of the many walls as you laid against it, clearly exhausted from the endless running and doors. Sebastian soon joined you, though he wasn't as snarky as before. Maybe he really was just relieved to finally leave the place. He muttered something under his breath that your eyes seemed to have heard. You look over at him and asked him to repeat himself.
Sebastian, who was somewhat surprised that you heard him, looked away in embarrassment before opening his mouth to speak.
"I said I couldn't have done it without you..."
A rather joyful and genuine smile spread across your lips once he repeated himself. You moved towards him before wrapping your arms around him, pulling him into an embrace. Sebastian's eyes widened with surprise before giving in with a sigh. His arms that were once limp against the ground raised upwards to wrap his arms around you in return. It felt rather comfortable as his eyes softened. He let you continue to hug him before his usual snarky behavior came back.
"You can let go now."
He grumbled to which you only tightened your grip. Though, your grip on him started to become tighter, making him asking you once again, but more urgently. But because of your stupid and joyful brain you only tightened your grip more. When he was about to tell you again, a pop escaped his body, making you pause. You moved your body away, as well as your arms falling limp against your sides and looked down. An egg. AN EGG. You grabbed the tiny sphere in your hands as all Sebastian could do was gaze at you absolutely flabbergasted. Clearly not able to form any words.
