Ever since you got into the Garrison, you and Keith, Lance, Pidge and Hunk got very close, even though Keith and Lance practically tried ripping each other heads off all the time. It was a love-hate relationship, but the hate part was dominating.

You built a strong bond and, of course, knowing Keith meant that you knew Shiro. You saw Shiro more as a father figure while Keith was more of a.. mentally unstable teenage brother figure but you loved them.

You started together and ended together in the Castle of Lions after you found the Blue Lion that chose Lance as its Paladin. You went through all different kinds of adventures together like nearly dying, getting blown up, crashing on an ice planet.. you name it.

The bond between you guys never died, instead, it only got stronger. As time passed, each and every one of you got closer and closer with their Lion but you also got closer to each other. Being trapped in space gave you the opportunity to spend more time with each other... It also made Lance and Keith more gay, but that's besides the point now.

You didn't see the others as friends anymore, you saw them as family, not by blood but by love. After all, they were there for you through all your dark days and they always pulled you up when you fell down and that's what family does. And mentally, you swore to protect them the same way they protect you.

In a fight against the Galra, which was a sneak attack in the Castle of Lions, everyone managed to get captured, except for you. Standing face to face with Zarkon should be terrifying but you were set on freeing your friends. You had to.

"Hand over the Lions of Voltron and I'll give you your friends back." Zarkon's deep voice echoed through the room.

"Don't do it!" Allura yelled, desperately. She knew what Zarkon would do with the lions.

All eyes were set on you. Shiro, Keith, Lance, Hunk, Pidge, Allura and Coran all hoped you would have a way out of this sticky situation. They believed in you. You are the Paladin of the White Lion after all.
