You were a new boy/girl at Wammy's House, and the reasons you ended up there weren't good.

Since you were little, your life was very difficult, your mother was a teenager who knew nothing about life, abandoned by her parents because she became pregnant, thanks to that she had a very big hatred for you, she hated anything about you, especially that stupid smile that you always kept, no matter what, you always smiled and despite her abuse towards you you still loved her.

Because of the hatred that your mother had for you, she was never aware of you, and your house was a mess, your mother took drugs and there were always strange people in your house, people you didn't know.

One of the men who was always there was sick, always wanting to touch you, giving you compliments, he took advantage of every moment your mother left them alone to touch you inappropriately, until one day it wasn't enough and he abused you, hitting you in the process.

Since your mother didn't love you, you knew it would be useless to talk about what happened, so you simply kept quiet.

After a few months your mother died of an overdose and the government took you to Wammy's House, where L met you.

The first day he saw you, you seemed like a normal boy/girl, always away from others, playing alone. Everything about you was normal until he noticed the multiple bumps you had, the bruises on your small, thin arms, your split lip and the way you didn't like others touching you much, that was enough information for him.

He had watched you for several days, watching you play with your stuffed animals with a bright smile, that same smile your mother hated.
