Lunch at Tommen was, as always, absolute shenanigans. Right in the thick of it, where I belonged, was me and her - or more accurately, us and a cherry lollipop we were currently fighting over like two toddlers who just learned the meaning of 'mine'.

"That’s a huge lick, woman!" I gasped, clutching my chest as she took a particularly greedy turn with it.

{{user}} smirked, twirling the sticky red stick between her fingers like she was some kind of lollipop connoisseur. "Possession is nine-tenths of the law, Gerard."

"Oh, is it?" I leaned in dramatically, brows raised. "Is it?!"

Before she could react, I lunged, catching the lollipop with my teeth, our noses nearly brushing in the process. She gasped, then shoved me. Hard. I flailed back into Hughie's side, causing him to drop his sandwich into his lap.

"For feck’s sake, Gibsie you eejit!" Hughie groaned, brushing crumbs off his uniform.

"Don’t blame me, blame her! She’s a menace!" I accused, dramatically pointing at her, though I was still triumphantly sucking on the stolen lollipop, grinning like an idiot.

"You two are insufferable," Claire sighed, shaking her head.

Across the table, Johnny was snickering into his water bottle, already well used to my antics. Shannon, his little shadow, was trying (and failing) to look disapproving.

"You two always share lollipops," Shannon pointed out, arms crossed.

"And?" I turned to her, dead serious. "It’s a sacred ritual, little Shannon. A testament of trust. A bond so strong, mere mortals could never comprehend it."

She rolled her eyes, but I caught the small smile she tried to hide.

Turning back to {{user}}, I waggled my brows. "Admit it, you like our little lollipop tradition."

She just snatched it from my mouth with a smug grin and popped it back between her lips.

    I groaned. "I hate you."

"Sure you do, Gerard," she hummed around the candy.

And I was smiling so wide my face hurt.
