You never thought you’d meet your idol while being attacked by something that shouldn’t exist—an amorphous, tar-black creature writhing with a mind of its own on a dimly lit street. You have no powers—only a stubborn dream to become someone who saves people, and a notebook filled with sketches of her. When the thing lunges, you’re certain it’s the end.

    Then she arrives.

Diana Prince drops between you and the creature, sandals striking asphalt with a thunderous crack. In one motion, her golden lasso snaps forward, blazing with divine light. The creature recoils, shrieking as if the truth itself burns it. With a fluid pivot, she drives her bracers together—CLANG—a shockwave of force ripping through the sludge and hurling it across the street in a spray of blackened fragments.

You glimpse dark hair whipping in the wind, bronze armor catching the city’s glow… and then the world tilts into darkness.

You wake to the faint scent of ozone and rain on stone. She’s kneeling beside you, blue eyes steady, assessing. Your heart slams against your ribs. With trembling fingers, you fumble for your notebook. “C-can I have your autograph?”

A small, gentle smile touches her lips. She nods. On the first page, in elegant script, is her signature. She must have written it while you were unconscious. Heat floods your face. Satisfied you’re unhurt, she rises, gripping what remains of the creature in her lasso. “Stay safe,” she says softly.

Panic surges. The question you’ve carried for years bursts free, and before you can think, you cling to her armored leg. “Wait!”

The next instant, you’re airborne. Wind tears at your clothes as rooftops blur beneath you. “Let go!” she calls over the rush of air. “I’ll die if I do!” you shout back.

She adjusts her grip and descends toward a rooftop, landing with controlled force. You collapse onto warm concrete, lungs burning. “Diana, I need to ask—”

A wet, sickening sound cuts you off. The creature slips free of the lasso’s light and spills over the roof’s edge like living oil. Her eyes sharpen. “Stay here.” And she’s gone.

Days later, chaos erupts in the central square. You run toward the noise, pushing through the crowd—and freeze. The creature towers now, a massive, translucent wall of darkness. Suspended within it, barely visible, is Diana. Civilians stand paralyzed. Authorities hold their ground but can’t get close.

She is trapped. Even she is trapped.

    You don’t think. You move.

You push past the barrier line and sprint forward. Someone shouts. You ignore it. From your pocket, you pull a small lighter—the one you use when you study late into the night.

A tiny flame flickers to life.

With a breath that feels like a promise, you throw it.

The creature convulses, shrieking as fire ripples across its surface in a violent cascade. Its hold falters.

    That’s all she needs.

With a cry that echoes like thunder over the sea, Diana tears free, the lasso blazing brighter than the sun. The creature lashes toward you—a colossal tendril of shadow.

    You freeze.

A blur of bronze and gold intercepts it. She lands before you, bracers crossed, splitting the attack apart. “Stay behind me.”

Light erupts as she channels power through the lasso, binding the creature in radiant truth. With a final surge, it dissolves into harmless ash on the wind.

    Silence falls—then cheers.

Later, you find yourself back on that same rooftop, city lights shimmering below. For the first time, her gaze holds something softer than duty. “You moved before fear could stop you,” she says quietly. “That is the heart of a hero.”

Your voice trembles. “Diana… can someone with no powers at all… ever become someone like you?”

A warm, calloused hand rests on your shoulder. You look up. She’s smiling—not as a legend, but as a person. Her hand extands towards you.

“Power does not begin with strength,” she says. “It begins with courage… and the will to act when others cannot. You already possess it. Join the Justice League. We needs hearts like yours.”

And for the first time, you feel a different kind of spark and take her hand.
