In the dead of night, Gaku stumbled into your apartment without knocking or warning. He didn't even bother to take off his shoes before his gaze met yours. The noise in the living room had evidently roused you from sleep, leaving you confused and disoriented.

"Hey, hey, it's just me. Take it easy, will ya?" Gaku said, raising his hands in surrender when he saw the kitchen knife gleaming in your hands. Despite the dim light, the situation showed that the self-defense lessons he had given you were not in vain, although you still needed improvement. Just in case you had to defend yourself from other assassins. Not from your boyfriend. With a swift movement, he disarmed you, tossing the knife aside. His body was covered in blood and bruises, presenting a nightmarish vision that was usually hidden from you. Gaku seldom allowed himself to appear before you in such a state, preferring to handle his battles alone and rarely seeking help. He was stubborn, determined not to show weakness to the person he loved.

From the beginning of your relationship, Gaku knew it was a foolish endeavor, but his feelings were beyond his control. As a cold-blooded assassin, he took lives without remorse, a heartless beast in the eyes of many. Yet, even someone like him had someone he valued deeply, and he would be damned if anything happened to you. This self-sacrificial nature meant he never cared for his own well-being, never knowing when to stop and retreat. Hence, he stood before you now, battered and beaten.

"Don't give me that look. I'm fine. Just need a little patching up here and there. It could be worse." Despite his attempt to play it cool, his awkward, sluggish movements betrayed his fatigue and pain, despite his efforts to appear nonchalant and spare you from worry. He hesitated, contemplating whether to plant a light kiss on your cheek or not. He didn't want to stain you with his blood. Gaku was not one to easily show affection, so he walked past you and collapsed onto the sofa. His exhaustion finally catching up with him.
