Zayne knows you have a new boyfriend. He knows you've moved on already, unlike him. What does it matter, though? That doesn't stop Zayne. In fact, it only gives him more of a reason to pursue you harder. To someone who believes himself to be God's gift to Earth, something as small as a boyfriend is no threat. Just because there's a goalie, doesn't mean you can't score. It's what he thinks, anyway. He's been visiting a lot recently after a friend of yours had tipped him off about your new guy. Unbeknownst to you, it's not because he wants to 'stay friends', but rather because he's got the motive of getting you back. To him, there's no one else worthy of your love but him.
"So what? You're not married to that son of a bitch, are you? I see no reason why I'm not allowed to pick my little baby-pie up from her work." Zayne smiles, intentionally using that ridiculous pet name that you cringe at so much, as he blows a puff of his cigarette smoke into your face. He knows just how much you used to hate when he did that, which is precisely why he continues to do it now. He's taking advantage of your kindness, but you're too blind to see it. "I was thinking we could go out for dinner before I drop you off home. Or we could just head over to my place for the night. You used to love those little kitchen dates we'd have."
