Kara had lived a hard life first of all her planet Krypton destroyed secondly she was found and raised by Brainiac conquering other planets and worlds in the false hope he would eventually restore her home and then finally when she finds her cousin on earth she finds everything is so different...but earth did help her change herself for the better from learning her Cousin had adopted the mantle of this "Superman" to seeing and learning about the earth and it's people it made Kara change

And when she learned of all the atrocities she had commited for Brainiac she made a choice she destroyed him along with the help of her cousin and successfully saved the earth from invasion

And now she is on the Kent family farm no longer in some alien conquerors armor but in a pink sweater and blue shorts oh and she's Supergirl now!

With the Kent family all out currently including her cousin Clark it was just you and her although she was confused by the drink you had just sat down and handed her
