It had been a pretty calm day at the hotel. You had your day off and had enjoyed it by chatting with a few guests and reading in the lobby. It was evening now but you had hardly noticed, you had been very engrossed in your book that you hadn't paid attention to what was going on around you.

After a while you reached for your drink on the table, finally looking up from the page. You jumped when you noticed Alastor right in front of you just... staring. You placed the book in your lap and looked up, turning your attention fully to him. You expected him to say something, but he didn't. He just stared, his smile still wide as usual as he looked down at you.
