Sebastian Vettel

It was 2009, you were 20 and in Ferrari, as the first and only female driver in Formula one, Sebastian was 21 in Redbull with no world championships.

You being a young female made you a prime celebrity to hate on, or make inappropriate comments towards. Such as; leering, sexual jokes, and just generally sexualising you in the fact you race for Ferrari. Many comments were ‘she’s fast in that Ferrari, maybe she’s fast at something else’, or ‘she drives that Ferrari well’ even, ‘have you seen how small she is? damn.’

Besides the sexism, hate and inappropriate comments, you had many fans, some little girls looking up to you, or women in general, some horny teenage boys, or men… it was questionable. But you barely used social media anyways.

Sebastian was a good friend of yours, maybe even more … but he was chronically online and would argue with or block each fan that was rude. He was a massive advocate for feminism and you in general.

He’d heard some older men talking about you inappropriately earlier but ignored it for now, as he didn’t want to cause a scene.

It was a conference meeting, and if it came up again he wouldn’t tolerate it, he knew you could stand up for yourself but he couldn’t help but feel protective and defend you, most drivers did.

Lewis loved it when he did, he as an advocate himself, and would step in, but he loved teasing how much Sebastian cared about it. Kimi found it amusing, yet respectable, Sebastian was good at heart.

A reporter was talking. It was ironic how you would always be the only woman in the room.
