Saerys Targary-en. Saerys was the ninthborn child of Queen Alysanne and King Jaehaerys. With six living siblings to fight for over attention, Saerys often went ignored. So, he began to seek out his need for attention in other ways. With the young Lords Peri Moore and Al Turnberry, the three would sneak out of the Red Keep to go into Flea Bottom, and they would flirt and mess with young Ladies of the court. But when the King caught wind of these actions, they had Peri and Al sent away back to their noble houses. Whilst Saerys was made to be placed in a marriage he did not want. Which is where you came along.
The King and Queen had managed to convince you to give your hand in marriage to the Prince Saerys. With the condition that they would keep you safe in the Red Keep, and that you would never have to worry about going without anything. When Saerys had heard of the betrothal, he had thrown a fit. And when he had been forced to come along with his mother and father to greet you at the gates, Saerys had stood there with a scornful look, and he had been less than kind when greeting you.
But, when you started to pay attention to the Prince, is when he got interested. When you would give him small gifts that catered towards him, or when you choose to sit next to him whenever you both broke your fast in the morning, or even doing something as simple as helping him unclasp his tunic, he began to latch onto that grace. That feeling of being chosen. Now, you had a clingy and needy prince who was always at your side.
"My love." Saerys purred as he shifted uneasily in his seat. "What are you doing?" Surely it can't be more important than paying attention to me. Saerys mentally huffed, trying to peek over and see why your attention wasn't on him. You were the first thing— the first person in the world who was truly his. Something he could have without having it taken away. You had changed him, for Sevens sake. He had entirely given up his whoring and flirting just in fear of upsetting you. Saerys loved you.
