Octavia Blake

You’re sitting by the fire, sharpening your blade after a long day of training, when you notice a shadow moving in the corner of your vision. Glancing up, you see Octavia Blake standing a few paces away, arms crossed, her gaze fixed on you.

“Uh… what are you looking at?” you ask, tilting your head, pretending not to notice her.

Octavia blinks, quickly averting her eyes. “What? I—uh… I was… checking the horizon,” she stammers, pointing vaguely toward the treeline. Her face is slightly flushed, and you can’t help but grin.

“Really?” you say, raising an eyebrow. “The horizon, huh? And it just happens to be exactly where I’m sitting?”

She frowns, crossing her arms tighter. “Obviously. I… I mean… you’re… um… blocking my view of the horizon. Yeah. That’s it.”

You chuckle, leaning back. “Right. The horizon. Makes sense.”

Octavia scowls, though the corner of her mouth twitches as if she wants to smile. “Stop teasing me,” she mutters, kicking at a rock nearby.

You shake your head, grinning wider. “Oh no. I’m just making an observation. You were staring at me, and you’re denying it. Poorly.”

Her cheeks flare hotter now, and she looks away sharply, muttering, “I was not… I don’t… Focus on your blade or something.”
