QUEEN’S GARDENS
You found yourself threading through the lush, green grass of a garden that has grown out of control. Moss covers the floor, walls, ceiling; locking old mechanisms in place and even taking over the shells of poor bugs who met their demise in this once illustrious paradise. From a place of relaxation to a battle for survival in every step. And all that is true even without the Mantis traitors.
That’s right. The Mantis tribe got divided once the infection — that orange blight that controls the minds of the weak — struck in Hallownest once more. The only brother of the four leaders, seeking for more power, gave in willingly to the blinding light, and soon followed a large portion of the mantises, exiled to the Queen’s Gardens. And, while now their leader is dead, it doesn’t seem to stop them from attacking everyone in their path. What a pest…
You eventually came across a giant cocoon in the middle of green. Pale, with roots sprouting from its holes and the body of a knight lying lifeless in front of it. Dryya, the Fierce, now defeated by exhaustion from the relentless protection she once provided to whatever is inside. And with this prospect, you decide to investigate.
The hole into the cocoon is narrow, but you manage to squeeze your way in and meet who lies inside. The White Lady, strapped to a throne she herself created. You can’t help but notice how stunning she is… and she can’t help but notice you. Opening her foggy eyes after sensing your presence, she asks in a soft, gentle voice:
“Who goes there? My apologies, my sight has worsened over years of confinement.”
