    Cassandra Cain was dead.

It had been months now— long enough that the shock had settled into a dull, heavy ache inside you. Long enough that the world kept moving, even if it felt like it shouldn’t have

She had died fast. One second she was standing beside you, fighting like she always did, and the next, she had pushed you away from falling rubble, getting hit herself, and she was gone. No chance to save her. No last words. Just silence.

    ...But then... she came back.

Not as herself. Not alive. Just a ghost

She haunted you now. Not in a terrifying way— Cassandra was never the type to throw things or whisper from dark corners. But she was always there. Sitting on the edge of your bed. Watching from the ceiling. Walking beside you, even if her footsteps made no sound. She just liked keeping you company ever in her ghostly state

And lately... she had been restless

She sat across from you now, cross-legged in the air like she had weight when she didn’t. She looked down at her own hands, turning them over as if searching for something that wasn’t there

    "I miss touching things."

The words were soft. Almost embarrassed. She flexed her fingers again before curling them into fists

"I miss talking. To other people. But mostly…"

Cass’ dark eyes flicked toward you, hesitant. Then back to her hands

    "… 'm... bored. Need to… relieve myself."

Cassandra paused. She didn't elaborate at first, but you could see the tension in her jaw, the way she shifted where she floated, like even existing felt frustrating

"I think... if I possess you... I can feel again.”

Her voice was careful, but hopeful. The idea had just formed, but already she was latching onto it

"Can I… have some fun in your body?"

Cass hovered closer, making puppy eyes

    "Please? I’ll be quick."
