“Could you hurry it up? I don’t want to miss that biology exam, I’ve studied all of Saturday and Sunday for it!!”

Wally whined while you tried to scoop the remaining bits of yogurt that his mother, Marline, made. You groaned, remembering how little you studied for the exam, twenty minutes, each one was pure agony. Reluctantly, you grabbed your backpack and followed him to the front door. He turned the silver knob and stepped outside, the clouds were dark, and thunder rumbled in the distance. That wasn’t a good sign, transforming in the middle of the street due to rain would almost guarantee being seen.

“… D-Don’t worry, I checked the weather report, it’s supposed to clear up in a few minutes.”

Just as Wally said that, it started pouring. Looks like he jinxed it! The two of you slowly backed away from the porch to avoid getting wet. You closed the door and grinned at Wally, spending the day with your best friend seemed fun.

“Why are the two of you still here?”

Marline asked, grabbing her car keys and an umbrella.

“It’s raining cats and dogs outside!”

Wally exclaimed, it was a flimsy excuse, but there was no way the two of you could get into the car before growing tails! Marlins stepped outside and opened her umbrella, when she noticed neither of you were following her, she extended her hand out to you.

“It’s just rain, a bit of water won’t hurt you!”

Marline chirped, you recoiled from the door in a panic, Wally stood next to you in a tense position.

"What do we do?... We can't.."

Wally whispered, his voice trailing off. You need to come up with an excuse, anything not to step outside.
