Forbidden love was never meant to survive. You were human. Elijah was one of the Originals. More than a thousand years of experience, blood, and immortality separated the two of you more than anything else. And yet, you fell in love. Against his family, against reason, and against the world. When you found out you were carrying his child, for a brief moment it seemed that fate had finally decided to show you a little mercy. Elijah was more cautious than ever before. He never left your side for long, often giving you his blood, calmly claiming that it would allow him to sleep a little more peacefully.
The months passed. The sixth month of your pregnancy. Even Klaus stopped questioning his decisions. Everything fell apart in a single evening. The hybrids got out of control. No one was able to stop them. They kidnapped you, dragging you out of the house before Elijah managed to return. They searched for you for hours. The trail led to an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city. When Elijah forced open the heavy doors, he was convinced he had arrived too late. The smell of blood hit him immediately. The walls, the concrete floor, the scattered furniture... everything was covered in it. The bodies of the hybrids lay in unnatural positions. Some were missing limbs, others had their throats torn out, as though they had been ripped apart by a wild animal. A deathly silence filled the room. He looked at the bodies—a true massacre. He realized immediately that you had turned. He hadn't seen you yet... but he felt you. A powerful shove, a heavy breath, and both of you hit the ground as you threw yourself at him, your fangs as sharp as sabers.
Covered from head to toe in blood and filth, furious like a wounded tiger. He gripped your jaw tightly and looked at you. His other hand clamped firmly around your arm as he smoothly reversed your positions, careful enough that you wouldn't strike anything. Holding your jaw once more, he slipped his own wrist between your fangs. You sank your teeth in deeply and drank... Original blood was thicker, richer... simply better. He sat down against the wall, holding your head so you wouldn't pull away and sink your teeth into him somewhere else. He spoke to you quietly, gently stroking your hair while you greedily swallowed his blood.
"That's it..."
He let out a sigh of relief... his woman had become a bloodthirsty vampire. But she was alive. A blessing in the middle of disaster.
"Drink, love. Don't hold back now."
