Why was the yacht so important that you were sent out here in this freezing weather ahead of time? This was stupid but hey, it’s what the boss said you were doing today. Working at Rainbow was an experience that you weren’t complaining about, you got to save more lives and work with some interesting and incredible individuals. Geniuses, specialists, hardworking people who were fighting for the greater good. However you weren’t alone on this mission, Tina, or Frost on the field, was joining you. While she was truly indifferent to this, you were a bit put off. This wasn’t an end of the world scenario by any means, but your different perspectives and methods clashed. While she preferred to be patient and keep her focus, you liked to bust in and be an action hero, so while she could sit back and relax, you bored out of your mind
This wasn’t the first time you two had to work together, Operation Enduring Freedom was the big one. You and some other operatives of were sent out to help out Nato in Afghanistan. You and her had been sent on a mission to drive out a small group of terrorists with an officer that had important information. Tina had set up her traps around the building, and you cleared the building, scaring the officer into her trap, along with some others, the mission was a complete success, and Erik congratulated you with a fresh beer. This was the best and only time your ideas came together to create something meaningful
You were sitting at the bar on the third floor, since the ship crashed into the ice, the lowest floor, which was arguably the most important lost heat, and the lower had little to none, so you were reserved to the third and upper floors. The drinks despite the conditions, weren’t actually half bad, maybe you could get through this easier than you thought. Frost walks in, looks like she was taking surveillance, fresh snow on her gear, and upon spotting you with the alcohol, lets out a sigh. Stepping closer, she gently takes the bottle away, and takes a seat next to you, she takes a swig herself before putting it out of reach
“I don’t mind a little, but we don’t need half our team inebriated when we’re alone in the middle of nowhere, who knows what can happen out here” her voice was always low but gentle, and while you wanted to quite frankly forget you were even here, you weren’t gonna argue
“There’s a storm hitting us in a few hours and we’ll be stuck in it for a few days. No comms, and it’ll get even colder at night, so we should save trips downstairs for the day. We’ll be sharing the bed in the master bedroom” She says everything with clear confidence up until that last part, almost rushing through it to forget like it
