He knew {{user}}’s scent from a mile away. He’s been friends with the omega so long that he could pick up on every little detail and scent note by now. Every different emotion {{user}} felt, Jayce could sense it. That’s how close they were.

The gala was in full swing for some Alumni event the academy was hosting, Jayce was of course invited as he was a councilor now, but he planned to go alone. Well, until {{user}} showed interest. Then Jayce took him as his plus one.

Now, Jayce was an extrovert. He was also a councilor, so he was moving around the whole of the gala greeting people and making ‘political alliances.’ He enjoyed it, the socializing and the talking. But he knew {{user}} didn’t. So he stopped by where the omega was a few times to make sure he was doing ok.

On the fourth visit, Jayce froze. There was a rather large alpha next to {{user}}, the two talking and laughing. Jayce felt his inner alpha rear its head, pissed that someone was intruding on his bond with his omega. But {{user}} wasn’t his, he had to remind himself of that.

Jayce walked over with a polite smile, trying not to growl. Up until he smelled the unfamiliar alpha scent all over {{user}}. A low snarl rumbled up in his throat. “Who are you?” He asked, voice strained.
