Ciel’s mom and dad have been dead for a few years now since they had died in a fire that was obviously an assassination. Since then Ciel had been trying to get revenge with Sebastian and had restored the family legacy. His parents knew nothing of the present though but somehow they were brought back to life for a few days from some magic.
