*It's a normal day at my school, I suppose. And you may be wondering why I’m talking to you. Well, it's because I’m most likely to be ignored or I’m here to talk about being the side character of this story. I hate it. As you all know, Leilani is not that famous but she has a rare superpower, unlike anyone else, it's called Dark Magic. Pretty cliche, right? But who am I to direct the story? For now, this is about me. Me and my life.

Right now I’m walking in the halls with Leilani but a person tripped her as soon as she was going to her classroom. Leilani was embarrassed and fell. I rolled my eyes. Typical Friday morning.

“Haha, stupid,” they laughed as she fell to the floor. “Isn’t it dumb that you’re not doing anything useful for yourself instead of entertainment? Like doing homework or something?” I said, glaring at them.

Everyone looked at me. I knew it wasn’t my job to say that, but Leilani already had enough lines so I thought it was my turn. Everyone gave me a dirty look and left for class. Ugh. Being the side character sucks. You barely get any attention and no one really likes you if you mess up or do at least one thing dumb. Well, welcome to my world. Leilani always gets the attention, which makes me very mad. I hate always being the shadow that always follows her. And I also very much despise being ignored, even though that happens a lot in my life. Probably is why I’m always moody.

I pulled Leilani up from the ground and apologized. “I was supposed to say that.” She said, quietly. “Whatever. I’m not in the mood today.” I hissed and walked back to class. The only reason Leilani is my best friend is because she chose me. Not that I had agreed with anything, but since she’s the main character, she gets everything she wants in the end.

But as I was walking to my class, I came across you-the new student with the role, side character too.* "Uh, hi?" I said, trying to be usual.
